I started out in the glazing trade in the summer of 1975. I found it
fascinating...and I still do. I worked steadily in it for 4 years, and started
raising a family. I searched for a place to live and raise my children and
found Spokane, so the end 1978 we moved here. In the Carter years, times here were tough, but L.A. was still the land of opportunity so again we moved. I found a job right away and within a couple of years decided to leave it to start my own business. I found it much more rewarding in almost every way. The business did well, but Spokane was still a better place to raise the kids. So back we came. I picked back up where I left off, but once you've worked for yourself, it's hard to work for someone else. So I was about to start up my own again when I met Robert Cox on a job site. We hit it off...one thing led to another and now we're Glass Crafters Construction. He has a life time of experience in the construction field, a great work ethic and, just as important, we understand each other. We share the same belief that customer service is of paramount importance and that customer satisfaction leads to referrals. We are a referral based business, priding ourselves on our custom retro-fit installations. We have been doing so for the past 5 years with great success. Oh, but back to me. I love music. I enjoy fishing. I play guitar, and I have 2 dogs and a cat, but since 'me' is kind of about Glass Crafters Construction, I guess I should end it here and just say....old or new construction, I'd like to hear from you. So drop us a line , send us a fax or pick up the phone: 509.218.0531, we'd love to service your concerns in the world of glass. Mike Whipkey |
